Hide and Seek Alone

Summary

There's a game called "hide and seek alone" or "one man hide and seek". It was a long time ago when I played it.

Stretching my legs after a long time out of the creepy zone.

Hide and Seek Alone

There's a game called "hide and seek alone" or "one man hide and seek".

Maybe you've heard of it.

Originally it started as a rumor on the Japanese imageboards, but eventually it was translated and circulated around the english speaking occult and paranormal fandom.

The game is a set of instructions for playing hide and seek with a doll full of rice. You cut open the doll, pull out the stuffing, put in the rice, and fill the doll with thread. In the middle of the night, you put the doll in a full bathtub, and go and hide somewhere with the TV on. When you go look for the doll, the instructions warn it might not be where you left it. :)

Obviously that's not all the details, but I'm not sure I remember all of them.

It was a long time ago when I played it after all.

Alice has been with me ever since.

She found me while I was hiding. I don't know if I did something wrong, or if the instructions just weren't right.

I guess I lost the game. :(

Alice made a funny noise when she found me. I think I remember I was making a funny noise too.

Now I see Alice every night.

She comes into my bed and she whispers things to me.

Alice has funny eyes and she smells weird too, but I don't mind.

Alice wants me to come home with her.

She wants to play hide and seek again.
