The Dignitary sat at the bar, stirring his drink with a toothpick as he watched the crowd. It was the prototyping that had brought them all out.

“Can you believe this?” HB asked, jerking his thumb at the crowd.

“They’re scared.” DD shrugged. “Debauching their problems away.”

“Are you?” 

“No,” DD lied smoothly, taking a long sip of his drink.

HB looked down at him. “Yeah, okay. C’mere.”

He cupped DD’s chin and pulled him into a kiss, tender, as the Brute always was.

He grinned and put a meaty hand on top of DD’s head. “It’s gonna be alright.”
