When she regained consciousness she found herself draped gingerly– for him– in Equius’ arms. Her face, pale, was reflected in the cracked lenses of his glasses, and below them his expression was tense and stern.
“If you’re going to die, don’t make me waste the tech,” he grumbled down at her.
“If I die it’ll be because you fucked up, musclebeast,” she griped back. “Is it in? Heh.”
“It’s in.” Equius flushed indigo.
“Fucking fantastic.” Vriska leaned up and kissed him impishly.
