Otto excused himself briefly, leaving Norman alone for the moment at their table, as he went to the restroom.

Washing his hands afterward, he looked into the mirror with a sigh. The restaurant was very nice…. Very nice. Too nice. Otto felt out of place, he felt watched. He felt….

“Doctor Octavius?”

Otto glanced over with surprise as he saw a familiar figure step into the bathroom.

“Mr. Parker. I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“I’m on a date with Mary Jane,” he explained. “It’s our anniversary.”

“Congratulations,” Otto nodded with a smile, drying his hands.

“Thanks. Pretty fancy place huh? I’m guessing Norman picked it?”

“Ah, you saw us together,” Otto smiled bashfully. “Yes it’s a…. Work…. Thing….”

Peter just smiled that quiet smile of his at him without saying anything to the contrary.

Otto sighed, and hung his head.. “It’s a date.”

Peter put his hand fondly on Otto’s shoulder. “Congrats, doc.”
