Sabretooth learns about God’s love.
Deep red spittle oozed down over little Victor’s lips and chin. The only thing he could taste was that coppery taste of blood. His own blood.
His father stood with his back to him, pliers still in one hand, a bible open in the other. He refused to look at the boy while he read the verses.
Victor couldn’t tune it out. The pain and the word of god were all there was to focus on in that dark basement.
He stared at his own teeth spilled on the dirt floor as his father read about God’s love and forgiveness.
