Summary:

Marc comes back to Steven’s flat and finds a problem.

Marc stumbled inside, and toward the bathroom; pushed aside the folding door and slumped over the sink, tap squeaking as he turned the water on as hot as it would go.

Red water ran down the drain, and he patted dry with one of Steven’s towels. He’d had to make sure that went in the laundry.

Staggering out, his gaze fell on Steven’s fish tank. A wave of exhaustion hit him.

The damned fish was dead. Steven would be crushed to find out.

There was only one thing Marc could do.

Get a new fish and pray Steven didn’t notice.
