Jack steps in after Toko fails.
Middle school. Jack followed as the boy turned down the long, narrow alley.
It was part of his daily walk home. Jack knew all about it because Toko had been writing about him in her journal. She’d been following him every day, hoping for anything. A word. An acknowledgement.
Nothing.
Well, he wasn’t good enough for Toko, in Jack’s opinion, but he sure was good enough for Jack. Jack was salivating just thinking about tearing him apart.
Cut, cut, cut.
Blood like the red string of fate, body like a beloved doll that has fallen out of favor.
Bloodbath fever.
