Otto watched the rictus expression on Osborn’s face softened back from the Goblin to Norman.
“Otto, I’m so sorry, I–”
“It’s alright,” Otto cut him off gently, and reached out a hand, brushing his thumb over Norman’s jaw. “You feel helpless when it comes. Like a small part of something bigger than just you. A leaf carried on a great wave. And you wouldn’t even hate it, but for the destruction surrounding you when the wave has subsided, and you are what’s left crashed among the wreckage.”
“Otto, you….” He looked at Otto with a tender astonishment.
“I understand, Norman.”
